This Thornewood Castle wedding day had me in awe from start to finish from the details of it all to, of course, the part where there’s an amazing castle.
I actually photographed a full day wedding on Saturday, slept for 4 hours to wake up and hop on the plane and fly to Seattle to capture this wedding day on Sunday. The best thing about it all is that the lack of sleep/stress was all absolutely worth it! We started off the day with darling getting ready moments. Next it was time for the groom and his groomsmen to play a traditional game and try to get inside the hotel room to see his bride. This was a first for me, and a huge amount of fun to capture. Peiyun and Yuliang then took part in a tea ceremony before we headed off to the Thornewood Castle.
Once we were at the castle, Peiyun put on her wedding dress and we adventured around the grounds chasing light & capturing their love. Seeing their natural, love-filled smiles come out with the castle in the background was one of those moments that you don’t forget. I could have captured this setting all day long, but we then had to get ready for their ceremony, which may I add was absolutely perfect! As these two were surrounded by lush greens and flowers they said I do!
We then went inside the castle which was just as stellar as the outside. I guarantee you’ll see what I mean once you start viewing these photos. With a staircase to die for and authentic details through-out, I was one excited photographer!
Afterwards, Peiyun made a second grand entrance in her dancing dress where they then had their first dance. Heart filled speeches followed as we then made our way into the dinner area. Now, as far as head tables go, nothing can top this one.. With two grand chairs for the bride and groom backlit by the setting sun, it was sure to make these two feel like the most special people in the world on their wedding day.
I say thank you a lot, but I couldn’t mean it more. It was a true honour to capture this one of a kind wedding day. Yuliang & Peiyun, you two are absolutely wonderful and I couldn’t have been happier to meet you both, let alone capture your special day!
A big thanks to my Second Shooter: Kyle Ford
