Okanagan Winter Family Portraits

December 4, 2015

I’m pretty positive that the Okanagan is the best place for winter family portraits. Any winter photos actually! We get a lot of  beautiful snow, and luck out with such mild weather! I’m originally from Northwestern Ontario where winter’s are generally below -20, so I jump all over the idea of shooting in the winter and not freezing my fingers off! Which made me one excited photographer when Harmony asked me to shoot her family portraits.
We headed to their back yard, yeah you read right.. this awesome location is footsteps outside the door where they live. We ventured into the snowy trees to capture the whole family. From here the girls played in the snow & on the ice, thankfully everyone went home with dry feet. I then had the pleasure of being the first person to actually photograph Matt and Harmony together, though you wouldn’t think so as they were absolute naturals in front of the camera. I guess it isn’t too hard when you have a love connecting each other like these two do.
Thank you guys so much for choosing me to capture these for you, it was an awesome time and an honour! Now onto some snowy goodness.
